Students will receive reading logs on Friday, September 7th.
Reading Log RubricReading logs are collected at the end of each month. Below are the criteria for each possible grade.
LEVEL:
4- One thirty minute (or more) entry per day
3- Entries for most days/missed two to three entries
2- Entries for some days/ missed three to four entries
1- Student is missing more than four entries for the month
0- If reading log is lost or not handed in for the month
Please note:
Ø Any entries without a guardian’s signature will not be counted as an entry.
Ø Reading log grades will be reflected on report cards.
Ø Students are expected to fill out the log for ALL days of the month, including vacation days! It is suggested you read on Saturday and Sunday, but you do not need a signature.
