How can you help?
· Be sure students are doing homework thoroughly! Practice reading all directions and underlining key information. Take the time to do it right. The hard work will pay off!
· Have students take notes while watching the news.
· Be sure your child is editing all homework (Punctuation, capitalization and usage). Although there is no editing section this year, there will be a section in the multiple choice on grammar. In addition, short response and extended response writing will be graded taking capitalization, punctuation and usage into account.
